I have no idea

Yellowstone

An early season visit to Yellowstone is great!  There isn't nearly the crowds as the Summer, and it seems like the animals are much more active.

Crown Butte

One of my favorite landscape features right outside of Great Falls are the two buttes.  Square and Crown buttes.  I've been wanting to climb up Crown Butte for a while.  The last time I tried, the road to get there was too muddy.  This time I was in luck! The road was dry, and the weather was perfect! The climb up was a bit steep towards the top, but the views more than made up for that.  And, of course the gravel roads to get there are always a lot of fun as well.

The Hi-Line

Cloudless skies and cold temperatures were how the day started when I headed North to check out the "Hi-Line".  Also known as US Highway 2, the road travels through some of the most beautiful land in the state, especially in its western half, and has more of its mileage within Montana than in any other state. As it moves on to the Great Plains, the road goes through several small towns and basically parallels the Great Northern Railway.  There was lots to see, from vintage signs, old abandoned buildings, cars, and of course lots of wide open spaces.

New Lens

A few shots through my new lens.  It's actually made for my camera. No adapters…. It's a 45mm 1.8 prime lens.  So far I'm liking it.

MT Winter

It's been a fairly mild Winter so far.  Not much snow, and only a few days that I had to plug my jeep in.  Of course the winds that blew my fence over last week were no fun, but it's already almost February, and that means Spring isn't too far away...
